Nanhua University Environmental Volunteers Clear Over a hundred kilograms of Garbage from Beach.
Over the weekend, Nanhua University’s Department of Natural Biotechnology assistant professor Dr Jun-Hong Lin and adjunct lecturer Mr Jhao-I Wei, led a 44 man strong environmental team made up volunteering students to Tainan’s Gold Coast. The trip was organized in response to World Water Monitoring Day (WWMD) and the group spent time cleaning up the beach as well as conducting water quality tests. The results of the test will be uploaded onto the World Water Monitoring Day website and shared with the rest of the world. The volunteers hoped that their actions not only expressed their love for their country but also raise awareness for environmental protection and civic mindedness.
